BRANDING RATIONALE

Measure is a theoretical womenswear brand with an emphasis on fit. The logotype uses GT Cinetype (designed by Mauro Paolozzi and Rafael Koch for Grilli Type, 2015) - chosen for its linear approach to curves. The lettering appears as a normal, rounded typeface when presented small; on a large scale, the straight lines become apparent as geometric segments of a larger whole.

The logotype balances curves and linear forms with subtle shifts in proportion, echoing the way clothing is designed to move and fit the body. The stepped curve references a measuring tape — a fundamental tool in the process of creating a considered fit. Named ‘Measure’, the theoretical brand name speaks to a life lived with intention and balance: to take a measured approach, value moderation and find equilibrium in the everyday.

This philosophy is reflected in the identity, which balances strength with softness and precision with ease, embodying a commitment to designing clothing for real bodies and real life. The result is a deliberate and restrained visual system that feels both refined and utilitarian, with fit and function at its core.

SHOOT RATIONALE: THE BIG IDEA

Measure has established itself as an expert in fit, and the phrase ‘Fit for Purpose’ resonates across product fabrication and function. Reinforced by this authority, Fit for Purpose extends to a belief that clothing should support women in every aspect of their lives: professionally, creatively, socially, and personally.

Re-positioning this phrase beyond function and into capability embraces a philosophy of empowerment. It reflects a belief that thoughtfully designed garments become tools of confidence and enable women to move through their day with purpose and self-assurance. Measure’s pieces are designed to support her ambitions: to lead, create, explore, and grow without compromise. This brand campaign celebrates real women whose live are rich with possibility, recognising that confidence comes when you dress for potential.

The campaign will feature talented women across different industries in an elevated documentary-style campaign and video series. Coupled with thoughtful social activation and community engagement ideas, the brand campaign emphasises: when dressed in Measure, we are Fit for Purpose. Fit For Potential.

WHY WILL IT RESONATE?

The brand campaign prioritises connection over persuasion, featuring real women with multifacted lives.

Reframing ‘Fit for Purpose’ as a philosophy of capability rather than simply functionality, the campaign connects with a deeper emotional truth. Rather than speaking to her size, it speaks to her values, aspirations and lived experience. The brand campaign becomes a symbol of confidence, supporting her for a life rich with possibility.

The campaign creates an emotional connection by representing real women with dynamic lives across diverse industries and life stages. It strives to centre authentic stories from real women in a beautiful and earnest campaign. The image tone feels familiar, optimistic, and relatable. It is a celebration of purpose and potential, and invites women to see themselves not through the lens of limitation, but through the opportunities that lie ahead.

LOOK & FEEL

Featuring 5 women at different life stages and across disparate industries, the brand campaign is an elevated documentary-style image series. A cohesive image treatment unites the different women and the spaces they inhabit, they are captured at sites significant to them, by themselves and sometimes with their families.

The talent are presented confidently in their spaces: speaking about their work, gesturing, doing. Some movement in the frames is suggestive of their life on the go, the multitudes they embody and their lives as Fit for Purpose, and Potential. The overall tone is optimistic, authentic, and candid. The grade is neutral, clean, with vivid colour and textured with film grain.
